Good evening. Today I got to talk  with one of the area’s most promising junior defensive linemen, Christian Cochran, a 5’9”, 275-pound athlete who continues to show real potential at the next level. I actually saw Christian in action this past June at a camp at Georgia Southern University, where he had a dominantperformance—explosive reps, strong technique, and the kind of competitiveness coaches love.

From the start of our conversation, Christian showed maturity beyond his age. He thanked us for having him and talked about approaching every practice with focus, staying coachable, and working like someone out there is trying to out-grind him.

When I asked him what keeps him going, Christian didn’t hesitate. He said, ‘First, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—without Him, none of this is possible.’ He talked about his family pushing him past his limits and never allowing him to settle. And he gave credit to his girlfriend, who keeps him on top of his academics and helps him stay disciplined off the field.

Before we finished, I asked Christian who else people should be keeping an eye on. He immediately mentioned his teammate Isaiah Miller, another powerful defensive lineman. He described Miller as a high-energy competitor who makes everyone around him better.
